History

In April of 2002, the Forsyth Community Foundation (in 2011 this was changed to Community Foundation of Taney County) was organized as an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. The purpose of the foundation is to be a vehicle for charitable giving capable of benefiting the entire community. Through the mechanism of endowment funds, philanthropic individuals and organizations can build a permanent source of charitable assets to meet emerging and ongoing needs of the community.

The Foundation provides investment management, administrative and legal support, technical assistance, and educations/marketing materials to the local foundations.
