Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks Receives $10,000

Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks, was awarded $10,000 through a grant program made possible by an anonymous donor of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, of which the Community Foundation of Taney County is an affiliate.

Margie Berry, president of Forsyth Community Foundation, made the presentation Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 12 p.m. at Forsyth City Hall. It is also the monthly meeting of the Forsyth Community Foundation.

The grant will be used to support its traditional Boys & Girls Club programming, and specifically to be allocated as follows:

-          $9,000 for the salary of a part-time program aide;

-          $500 for purchase of computer equipment; and

-          $500 for purchase of supplies for the Boys & Girls Club Power Hour program.

The Community Foundation of the Ozarks supports asset development , community-based grant making, organizational collaboration and leadership initiatives throughout southernMissouri. CFO is comprised of 36 affiliate community foundations and more than 800 charitable funds totaling approximately $90 million.
